The ceremony, held at the Municipal Hall of Pithiviers, aimed to highlight the city’s growing reputation as a hub for grassroots and competitive sports. “These athletes embody the spirit of perseverance and community,” said Marie Lefevre, deputy mayor of Pithiviers and sports commissioner. “Their efforts not only elevate the city’s profile but also inspire future generations to engage in physical activity.”

Among the honorees were members of the Pithiviers Football Club, which secured a regional championship in the U17 category. The club’s coach, Jean-Marc Dubois, emphasized the team’s focus on developing young talent. “Our players train six days a week, balancing school and sports,” Dubois said. “This recognition is a testament to their discipline.”
In badminton, local player Clara Moreau won the French Junior National Championships in the women’s singles category.
