Monregalese Celebrates the Renovation of the Local Archery Field

Modernization of Archery Range in Branzola: Gruppo Arcieri Monregalesi Unveils Upgraded Facilities

The Gruppo Arcieri Monregalesi (GAM) has officially inaugurated its renovated shooting range in Branzola, marking a significant investment in local sporting infrastructure and athlete development.

In a ceremony held at the Branzola sports complex, the Gruppo Arcieri Monregalesi celebrated the completion of extensive redevelopment work on their archery range. The project, centered on the installation of a brand-new canopy and various structural refinements, aims to enhance the competitiveness of the club and attract new members to the sport.

The inauguration event saw a broad assembly of local and regional leadership, reflecting the project’s community importance. Attendees included regional sports councilor Paolo Bongioanni, provincial councilor Rocco Pulitanò, and representatives from the Fondazione CRC, including Mirco Spinardi and Mario Arnaldi. Local government presence was led by Villanova Deputy Mayor Riccardo Boasso and Councilor for Events Giacomo Vinai, alongside councilwoman Romina Capitani, who is as well a member of the society.

A Collaborative Effort in Infrastructure

The redevelopment was made possible through a combination of institutional funding and significant private contributions. Elio Marabotto, president of the Gruppo Arcieri Monregalesi, noted that the structure was realized through grants from the Fondazione CRC, supplemented by the generosity of local businesses and professionals.

The project relied heavily on pro bono work and discounted materials. According to Marabotto, the firms Orsi and Osvaldo Boetti provided free assembly services. Other contributions included cement provided at cost by Ilma Giuggia, bureaucratic management handled by engineer Massimo Avagnina, hydraulic and irrigation systems installed by Enrico Canavero, and reinforcement steel provided at cost by Pianfei Edile. Gs Arredi supplied the iron plates for the canopy.

The entire coordination of these diverse contributions was managed by Giovanni Ramondetti, the father of one of the club’s athletes. Marabotto emphasized that the utility of the new canopy was immediately evident, protecting athletes from heavy spring rains and the recent 35-degree heat.

Impact on Performance and Growth

For the athletes, the upgrades are more than just aesthetic. Flavio Giraudo, vice president and coach, attributed the society’s recent successes to the dedication of volunteers and those who invest personal resources into the sport. The improved facilities are expected to provide greater comfort and a more professional environment for training.

“The results of our society have arrived also thanks to the work of volunteers and all those who lend a hand by purchasing materials or investing time and personal resources for this sport. I am honored to follow these athletes, young and less young, and teach them what I can.” Flavio Giraudo, Vice President and Coach, Gruppo Arcieri Monregalese

The club’s trajectory remains upward, with a recent third-place absolute finish in the regional women’s team competition. The society is also expanding its technical staff with the upcoming arrival of Davide Grella, a technician currently completing his training.

Strategic Outlook and Next Steps

The timing of the facility’s opening aligns with the start of a new training cycle. Following the Italian Target Championships, the club is scheduled to begin 18-meter training sessions. A primary goal for the team is to qualify for and participate in the Coppa Italia centri giovanili in Belluno.
