All-Clear Issued After Suspected Polonium 210 Discovery During Easter Egg Hunt in Germany

Authorities in Baden-Württemberg have issued an all-clear following a high-alert emergency operation triggered by the discovery of a container labeled “Polonium 210” in a residential garden. What began as a traditional Easter egg hunt in Vaihingen an der Enz evolved into a major security operation involving radiation specialists and over 100 emergency responders.

The incident occurred on Sunday, April 5, 2026, when two men discovered a little white plastic bottle with a red lid whereas searching for eggs in a garden on the outskirts of the town.
