Judo Clubs in Pont-de-l’Isère and Montélier Hold Final Interclub Session
Nearly 20 judokas from the Pont-de-l’Isère and Montélier clubs gathered Friday evening, April 3, for the final interclub training session of the season. The event took place despite the long Easter weekend, signaling a committed complete to the year’s collaborative training efforts.
The session brought together athletes from both local programs to refine techniques and share training experience before the season concluded. The turnout of nearly 20 participants highlights the regional cooperation between the two clubs.
The training occurred in the heart of the Drôme department, within the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France. One of the participating hubs, Montélier, is a rural commune situated within the Valence Romans Agglo, bordering the city of Valence to the east.
Because the session fell on the Friday preceding the Easter holiday, the participation rate was a notable marker of the athletes’ dedication to their sport. This interclub format allows judokas to face a wider variety of opponents than they would encounter in single-club practices, providing a more rigorous environment for growth.
The conclusion of these interclub sessions typically marks the transition toward off-season recovery or preparation for the next competitive cycle.
