Le Mans, France – Paralympic table tennis bronze medalists Estéban Herrault and Clément Berthier will be the headline attraction at the second annual “Tous au Sport” event, set to accept place at Aushopping Le Mans on Saturday, May 2nd, from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The event aims to promote inclusivity and participation in sports for all ages and abilities.
The “Tous au Sport” event will feature demonstrations, initiations, and opportunities to connect with a variety of local sports clubs and associations. Attendees will be able to try their hand at roller skating with the CSSG section, judo with the Judo Club de Neuville-sur-Sarthe and Antonnière Judo Club 72, and table tennis with the Joué-lès-Tours club – the particularly club that nurtured Herrault and Berthier’s careers. Other participating organizations include Greyjays (Baseball & Softball) and Codep 72 (Aïkido).
Herrault and Berthier, who secured a bronze medal in doubles at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, will offer attendees a unique opportunity to play table tennis with them, witness a spectacular sports demonstration, and engage in conversations about their journeys, their discipline, and their inspiring experiences. The Aushopping Le Mans center supported the athletes during their preparation for the Games.
The event isn’t solely focused on elite athletes. Two inflatable structures will be available for free play, providing a fun and active experience for both children and adults. This underscores the event’s core message: sport is for everyone.
The Judo Club de Neuville-sur-Sarthe is too preparing to host a Taïso discovery session on Wednesday, April 29th, at 8:00 PM, at the Dojo du complexe omnisports Yves Pasquier (9bis rue du stade, 72190 Neuville-sur-sarthe). Taïso is a method designed to improve flexibility, physical stability, and body awareness, and the session is open to individuals aged 12 and up, free of charge.
