Familia Piemontesa Shooters Deliver Strong Performance

Familia Piemontesa San Francisco archers delivered a standout performance at the Homologatory Open Air Tournament held in Brinkmann on April 19, 2026, with ten representatives competing across multiple categories and earning notable results.

The event, organized by Club Barrio Bertossi, saw the San Francisco-based association field a full contingent of archers who participated in various divisions, achieving strong showings in both qualification rounds and elimination matches.

In the Men’s Raso category, Mauricio Bertin secured fourth place in qualification and claimed a bronze medal in the elimination rounds, although Alejandro Minacori finished fifth overall in the same division.

The Raso Escuela 40 division produced several highlights for the association. Matías Grande led the category by finishing first in qualification and earning a bronze medal in eliminatories, additionally earning promotion to the Men’s Raso (ex senior) category. Ayrton Benitez placed third in qualification and finished fourth after elimination rounds, while Angel Fabry and Emilio Caamaño both placed sixth and eighth respectively, each exiting in the first elimination match.

In Recurvo Escuela 40, Facundo Acuña qualified in second place but was eliminated in the opening round of match play, though he did earn advancement to the Recurvo Escuela 50 category based on his performance.

Younger archers also made their mark. Felipe Ascencio topped the qualification standings in Raso Escuela 30 and captured a silver medal in eliminatories, earning promotion to Raso Escuela 40. Meanwhile, Juan Pablo Zamora made his debut in Raso Escuela 20 and walked away with a silver medal.

The youngest competitor from the association, Emma Bicego, debuted in the Jóvenes Promesas Sub 13 Inicial 15 meters category and claimed the gold medal while also achieving her personal best score in the event.

These results follow a strong showing by Familia Piemontesa archers just days earlier at the Torneo Sala Villa María 2024, where Carlos Leal represented the association in the Raso 50+ Masculino category. Leal qualified in second place and went on to win the gold medal in elimination rounds, as confirmed by La Voz de San Justo.

At that indoor, homologatory and rankable tournament held on April 14, 2026, at the Asociación Familia Piemontesa Córdoba facilities, Leal maintained his form through elimination rounds to finish fourth in the overall standings while securing the top prize in match play.

The association’s archers have consistently demonstrated growth and competitiveness across both indoor and outdoor disciplines, with multiple athletes earning category promotions based on their tournament performances.

Looking ahead, several Familia Piemontesa archers are set to compete in higher divisions following their qualification results, including Matías Grande and Facundo Acuña, who have earned advancement to senior-level categories.

The strong showings in Brinkmann and Villa María highlight the depth of talent within the association and its ongoing development programs for archers of all ages and experience levels.

As the outdoor archery season progresses, Familia Piemontesa San Francisco will gaze to build on these results in upcoming homologatory events across the region.
