Emilia Romagna Indoor Archery: New Barebow Champions Crowned

Emilia Romagna Crowns Fresh Indoor Barebow Champions in Castelfranco Emilia

The race for the 2026 Emilia Romagna regional archery titles has officially kicked off. In a high-stakes opening event held in Castelfranco Emilia, 106 athletes gathered to compete in the first of three scheduled meetings designed to determine the region’s champions for the 2026 season. This particular encounter focused exclusively on the Arco Nudo (Barebow) division, testing precision and nerve under the classic “two-minute start” shooting format.

For those unfamiliar with the discipline, Barebow archery removes the stabilizers and sights found on Olympic recurve bows, placing a higher premium on the archer’s instinctive aiming and consistent form. The event served as a critical benchmark for athletes looking to establish dominance early in the championship cycle.

Individual Standouts in the Senior and Master Divisions

The senior men’s category saw a dominant performance from the Ypsilon Arco Club. Simone Figliola and Alessandro Morini secured the top two spots on the podium, leaving Fabio Ciotti of the Arco Club Riccione in third place. This result underscores a strong start for Ypsilon, which has positioned itself as a powerhouse in the regional circuit.

In the senior women’s division, Matelda Miolo of the Arcieri Bizantini Ravenna claimed the top spot. She was followed by Livia Fabris and Simona Giovani, both representing the Malin Archery team, who took second and third place, respectively.

The Master categories showcased the enduring skill of the region’s veteran shooters. In the Master Oro men’s division, Simone Pizzi took first place, followed by Loris Degli Esposti of Castenaso A.T. And Daniele Braglia of Ypsilon Arco Club. The Master women’s category was led by Vania Monti of the Arcieri del Forte, with Fabia Rovatti (Terre di Castelli) and Daniela Chellini (Real Sala Bolognese) rounding out the top three.

Youth Categories: The Next Generation

The competition also highlighted rising talent across the youth divisions, where the fight for the podium was equally intense.

In the Allieve women’s category, Sara Malavasi from the Arcieri Torre di Formigine took first place. Chiara Lucchi and Nicole Pasquini, both representing the Arcieri del Forte, secured the second and third positions. The Ragazzi men’s division saw Tommaso Corradini of the Arcieri Orione emerge victorious, with Giorgio Zanelli (Rimini Seven Arrows) and Samuele Tazzioli (Torre di Formigine) following in second and third.

The Ragazzi women’s category was topped by Anouche Aurora Briganti of the Rimini Seven Arrows, although Anastasia Shevchenko of the Arcieri del Torrazzo claimed the second spot.

Team Dominance and Absolute Titles

The team competitions mirrored the individual successes, with a few clubs asserting clear control over their respective divisions. The Ypsilon Arco Club swept the senior men’s team title with the trio of Figliola, Morini, and Gabbi. They were followed by the Arco Club Riccione (Ciotti, Giannotti, Bartolini) in second and the Arcieri Terre di Castelli (Maccagnoni, Muzzarelli, Venturelli) in third.

Team Dominance and Absolute Titles

The Malin Archery Team claimed the senior women’s team championship, led by Fabris, Giovani, and Maier. The Arcieri Bizantini Ravenna (Miolo, Bandini, Segurini) took second, and the Arcieri del Torrazzo (Borciani, Ilari, Munari) finished third. In the Master team category, Castenaso A.T. Emerged as the victors.

Beyond the category-specific rankings, the event also determined absolute titles. According to FITArco records, the absolute men’s title went to Loris Degli Esposti, who beat out Fabio Ciotti and Massimo Venturi, who finished third.
