The Xingyao Weilai series, managed by Beijing Zhonghui International Sports Management Co., Ltd., has grown significantly this season, with over 110 city-level events held across China and cumulative participation exceeding 40,000 athletes. The national finals represent the highest tier of competition in the series, bringing together the top four finishers from each age group in both the autumn and spring seasons.
Officials in attendance at the signing included Lu Hao, chairman of Beijing Zhonghui International Sports Management and vice chairman of the Yao Foundation; Li Hongliang, national secretary general of the Xingyao Weilai organizing committee; Wang Yongsheng, head of the industry and economics division at Nantong Municipal Sports Bureau; Zhou Yong, party committee member and chairman of Nantong Central Innovation Zone Construction Investment Co., Ltd.; Huang Peifeng, executive director of Nantong Xingchuang Asset Management; Cai Jingyang, executive director of Nantong Leti Sports Development; Liu Asia, general manager of Nantong Leti Sports Development; Liu Shuo-yu, competition department director of the Xingyao Weilai national organizing committee; and Guo Qiuqiu, business promotion department director.
The organizers emphasized that the tournament aims to use sports as a tool for youth development and to support high-quality urban growth through event hosting. The finals will similarly welcome youth athletes from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and international regions to compete and exchange experiences.
Nantong’s selection as host city builds on its reputation as a hub for badminton excellence, with local officials highlighting the city’s role in nurturing world-class athletes and promoting sports culture.
The event is scheduled to take place over three days in late July, with daily competition expected to begin in the morning and conclude in the evening, though exact session times have not yet been released by organizers.
