Vienna – WAT Simmering 2 has cemented its dominance in Austrian badminton, capturing the Vienna Landesliga title for the fourth year running. The team’s impressive season was marked by a near-flawless record, with only a single defeat against WBH Wien 2 preventing a perfect campaign. Throughout the season, the team amassed 28 points, finishing ahead of WBH Wien 2 (24 points) and VRC Badminton 2 (23 points). URW Badminton finished at the bottom of the table and will be relegated to a lower league.
The individual performances were equally impressive. Marc-Ryan Legitimas led the way with a strong 12-4 win-loss record, closely followed by Markus Schaller (11-3) and Kevin Baum (10-2). Iveta Galova (9-1) and Lukas Fröhlich (8-2) also contributed significantly to the team’s success. Notably, Nina Polito, Tsveti Katerova and Natalia Galova remained undefeated throughout the entire season, showcasing exceptional skill, and consistency.
