Walter Mazzantti Set to Join Newell’s Old Boys from Independiente

His most prolific spell came with Huachipato in Chile, where he netted nine goals in 58 games. He then moved to Huracán in 2020, scoring 14 goals in 86 appearances before his transfer to Independiente in 2023.

As of November 22, 2025, Mazzantti had made 11 appearances for Independiente, but failed to find the back of the net. His current contract with Independiente runs until December 2028, but the club were willing to let him leave in search of regular playing time.
