G Town Stadium to Host High School Baseball “Last Game” Project
Tokyo, Japan – Giants Town Stadium (G Town), located in Inagi City, Tokyo, will offer a unique opportunity for high school baseball teams this summer. The stadium is launching the “Last Game” project, a special initiative to allow graduating high school baseball players to hold their farewell games at the professional-level facility. Team registration began on March 12th, 2026.
The project responds to numerous requests from schools and baseball organizations hoping to provide a memorable send-off for their graduating players. G Town, which opened in March 2025, will be available for rental to teams comprised primarily of third-year high school students, regardless of whether they compete in hardball or softball leagues. The initiative aims to create lasting memories for players concluding their high school careers.
Project Details and Availability
The “Last Game” project will offer nine time slots across five dates: June 22nd-24th, July 24th, and August 20th. Each time slot provides teams with a three-hour window to utilize the stadium. Available time slots are 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, with July 24th limited to the afternoon slot only. Teams can choose to play an intra-squad scrimmage or a game against another school.
This isn’t just about providing a field; it’s about offering a taste of the professional experience. The rental fee, set at 300,000 yen (tax not included) for three hours, covers ground maintenance, access to stadium facilities, scoreboard usage, and nighttime lighting. Teams will be responsible for securing their own umpires, game balls, and operating personnel for the scoreboard and public address system.
Eligibility and Requirements
Participation is open to all high school baseball teams, with no restrictions on league affiliation or prefecture. However, players participating in the games must be currently enrolled high school students. Each team must be represented by a school staff member, coach, or parent who will be responsible for supervising the players on game day.
Although the stadium provides the venue, teams are responsible for all aspects of game operations. This includes ensuring qualified personnel are available to officiate the game and manage the necessary equipment. Spectators are welcome to attend, with free admission to the stands, though organizers reserve the right to limit entry based on capacity.
