Titans Unveil New Uniforms: Oilers Throwback & Nashville Music City Style for 2026

Titans Unveil Novel Uniforms for 2026 Season

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Tennessee Titans revealed their new uniforms on Thursday for the 2026 NFL season. The uniform overhaul is part of a broader rebranding initiative ahead of the team’s move to the new Nissan Stadium, slated for completion in February 2027.

“We are incredibly proud to reveal this new look for the Tennessee Titans,” said Titans controlling owner Amy Adams Strunk in a statement. “Our uniforms and logo represent the strength of our history, the passion of our fans and the bold future we’re building together. Today is about honoring over 65 years of our organization while confidently stepping into the next chapter, and I couldn’t be more excited for our players, our city, and our fans to wear this identity with pride.”

The logo redesign, unveiled prior to the stadium’s opening, allows for the new branding to be incorporated into the construction process. The previous logo, featuring a flaming thumbtack with a “T” and three stars, has been replaced with a more “classic, timeless” design. This new look showcases a larger, block-print “T” enclosed within a red circle, accompanied by three stars. The original navy-focused logo will remain available in the team store as a retro option.

The organization also introduced a secondary logo featuring the “T” and three stars encircled by a football. These logo options were presented to fans to gauge preference, informing the final designs.

Titans President and CEO Burke Nihill noted the rebranding effort toward a more classic aesthetic was inspired by similar successful transformations undertaken by the Milwaukee Bucks and the Toronto Raptors in their 2015-16 seasons.

The new color palette will consist of white, red, “Titans Blue,” and navy blue. Helmets will be entirely white, with matching white facemasks. Here’s a simplification from the previous color scheme, which included six shades and two variations of gray.

A stripe running along the helmet will evoke the six strings of a guitar, paying homage to Nashville’s reputation as “Music City.” These six strings will also be featured on the pants and sleeves of the uniforms. Erin Schwartz, Senior Vice President of Brand Marketing, explained, “When you think about some of your favorite sports brands, classic, iconic, and timeless, something you might notice is that most of those brands have, at most, two or three colors in their palette. We had six. When you have six colors, you have to discover ways to integrate them all, both in the logo and in the uniform. In doing so, you run the risk of getting a visually cluttered piece. That’s why we wanted to be incredibly intentional, not only with the number of colors we used, but also with their proportionality: how much of each we used, what would be the primary color, and where we would focus.”

The organization proudly stated that “Titans Blue” is a unique color exclusive to the Tennessee franchise within the NFL.

Two jerseys will be released: a white away jersey and a “Titans Blue” home jersey, honoring the team’s history and its roots as the Houston Oilers. The away jersey will feature “Tennessee” across the chest, representing the state when the Titans play on the road. The home jersey will display “Titans” across the chest, representing the organization at Nissan Stadium.

The typography used on the chest is inspired by traditional woodblock printing (relief printing), a tribute to the city’s creative spirit, while the numbers evoke a classic collegiate sports design.

The jerseys will also feature a cluster of three stars in the armhole area. The word “We” is inscribed on the inside of the collar, symbolizing the team’s unifying motto: “We over me.”

“From the beginning, we approached this process with immense care and pride, knowing how much the Titans identity means to our fans and to the state of Tennessee,” commented Nihill.

“Every element of these uniforms was considered meticulously: from the ‘Titans Blue’ and the three-star motif, to the new ‘six-string’ stripe celebrating Nashville’s deep musical roots. We wanted to honor the history that defines this franchise, while also creating something that reflects who we are today and where we are headed. The result is a uniform that represents our team, our city, and our state with authenticity and pride.”

The Titans will debut the new uniforms during the 2026 season. The team’s first game wearing the new look is currently scheduled for September 13th against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Nissan Stadium. Fans can find more information and purchase the new merchandise on the official Titans website.
