Spain Archery Championship 2026: Almenara, Perez & Martin Garcia Crowned Champions

Fresno de Torote, Spain – The XXVIII Campeonato de España de Recorridos de Caza con Arco (RRCC) concluded this past weekend, crowning the nation’s top archery competitors. The event, held February 21, 2026, at the Club Arqueros de Torote – CDE de Tiro con Arco y Recorrido 3D, drew 70 participants, marking growth in the sport’s popularity across Spain.

Organized by the Real Federación Española de Caza (RFEC), in collaboration with the Federación Madrileña de Caza and the Consejo Superior de Deportes (CSD), the championship showcased skill, precision, and adaptability in a natural setting. The competition wasn’t just about hitting targets; it was a display of sportsmanship and camaraderie among archers of all ages and experience levels.

A Test of Skill: Six Diverse Recorridos

Archers faced a demanding course designed to test their abilities. The competition incorporated three main disciplines – Arco Tradicional (Traditional Bow), Arco Asistido (Assisted Bow), and Long Bow – with categories ranging from cadets to veterans, for both men and women. What set this championship apart were the six unique “recorridos,” or courses, simulating various hunting scenarios. These included recreations of small game hunts, American-style hunting, and even scenarios focused on wild boar control to prevent the spread of African Swine Fever (PPA).

The RFEC and participating regional federations expressed their satisfaction with the event’s success, reaffirming the importance of field archery as a discipline that blends tradition, technique, and respect for nature.
