We, of course, had the option of replacing the surface during the international break. If we had decided to do so, we would be celebrating a victory today. We were playing on bad pitches and winning, but seriously, we were anticipating how the new turf would behave. It was firm, didn’t tear, didn’t roll, and there weren’t even any small clumps, so it was great. A super choice.”

Something can happen. Someone can get trampled, an injury can occur, and that’s not what anyone wants. They rely too much on having VAR. But that’s just my opinion.”
