While he showed promise, he didn’t quite establish a consistent role with the Blue Jackets, leading to a trade to Minnesota in December 2024. His time with the Wild mirrored a similar pattern, with Jiříček frequently shifting between the NHL roster and the American Hockey League’s Iowa Wild.

This season, Jiříček appeared in 25 NHL games for Minnesota, failing to register a point. He found more success in the AHL with Iowa, recording two goals and eight assists in 24 games. Schenn, who had played nearly nine seasons with the Blues, registered 181 goals and 284 assists in 650 games for the franchise. He likewise won a Stanley Cup with St. Louis in 2019 and a gold medal with Team Czech Republic at the 2015 World Championship.
