Boston soccer fans now have a latest way to follow their favorite team, as all New England Revolution home matches will be broadcast in Spanish on Rumba 97.7 FM, thanks to a new partnership announced this week. The deal expands access to MLS coverage in the Boston area, particularly for the region’s growing Latino community.
“We are excited to partner with Rumba 97.7 FM to bring the excitement of the MLS to more fans in Spanish,” said Brian Bilello, president of the New England Revolution, in a statement. The partnership, announced March 13, 2026, designates Rumba 97.7 as the official Spanish-language radio home for the Revolution.
The broadcasts began Sunday, March 15th, with the Revolution’s home opener against FC Cincinnati, kicking off at 2:30 p.m. ET. Coverage will continue throughout all 17 of the Revolution’s home games during the 2026 Major League Soccer season. Fans can also stream the games online at rumba977.iheart.com and via the iHeartRadio app.
Rumba 97.7, owned by iHeartMedia Boston, is already a leading Spanish-language radio station in the area, focusing on reggaeton and variety music, as well as community-focused content. Eliseo Cierra, the station’s program director, emphasized the station’s commitment to more than just broadcasting. “In 2026, we won’t just broadcast the games—we’ll be present with the community, celebrating Latino culture through music and fútbol,” Cierra said.
The broadcast team will be led by Omar Cabrera, with Marcelo Briones and Juan David Rozo providing analysis. Combined, the three commentators bring over 50 years of experience to the booth. This experienced team will provide play-by-play coverage and insightful commentary for Spanish-speaking listeners.
This partnership arrives during a significant year for soccer in the Boston area and the United States. Foxborough, Massachusetts, will host seven matches during the FIFA World Cup 26 in June and July of 2026. The Revolution themselves are entering the season with a renewed sense of optimism, led by new head coach Marko Mitrović and the return of club captain and five-time MVP Carles Gil. Key players like Ecuadorian forward Leonardo Campana and Colombian defender Brayan Ceballos, the team’s 2025 Defender of the Year, are also expected to play pivotal roles.
Two home matches stand out on the schedule. On September 19th, the Revolution will host Orlando City SC for “Noche Latina e Hispana,” a celebration of Latino culture featuring performances by South American stars. The regular season will conclude on November 1st against Inter Miami CF, offering fans a chance to see Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez in action.
For fans who prefer English-language broadcasts, or those who want to watch the games visually, all MLS matches are also available on Apple TV, without commercial interruptions. This provides multiple viewing and listening options for Revolution supporters.
The New England Revolution’s partnership with Rumba 97.7 represents a significant step towards greater inclusivity and accessibility for the team’s growing fanbase. By providing Spanish-language broadcasts, the Revolution and Rumba 97.7 are ensuring that more fans can experience the excitement of MLS soccer. The collaboration also extends beyond the broadcast booth, with plans for community and cultural initiatives, including soccer clinics, throughout the Boston area.
