The Italian Football Federation (FIGC) is offering a free informational course aimed at instructors working with youth and grassroots football programs in the Molise region. The “Grassroots Level E” course, designed for those coaching at the base level of the sport, includes a mandatory supplementary module focused on Futsal (five-a-side football).
This initiative, announced by the FIGC’s Youth and School Sector, is open to instructors affiliated with clubs recognized by the FIGC at the 4th, 3rd, 2nd, or 1st level. The course is structured to provide valuable training and development opportunities for coaches working with young players in Molise.
Course Details and Structure
The course will span 21 hours, with an additional 9 hours dedicated to the mandatory Futsal module. The curriculum will be delivered through a hybrid model, combining in-person sessions and online learning. A total of 13 sessions are planned, each lasting two hours for in-person classes and two hours for online sessions.
Two of the in-person sessions will be held at the CFT – Centro Federale Territoriale (Montenero di Bisaccia), whereas one session will take place at the Palazzetto dello Sport (Località Morgione Ripalimosani), with that session lasting three hours. This blended approach aims to provide a flexible and accessible learning experience for participants.
The course is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 20, 2026, at 6:00 PM, and will conclude on Friday, May 29, 2026. The FIGC’s Youth and School Sector reserves the right to craft adjustments to the program schedule if necessary, with participants being informed of any changes in a timely manner.
Eligibility and Application Process
To be eligible for the course, applicants must be actively involved with a FIGC-affiliated club (4th/3rd/2nd/1st level) during the current sporting season, as confirmed by a declaration signed by the club’s president. The course is also open to those who have successfully completed a previous Grassroots “Level E” course within the last two sporting seasons, or who have obtained the “UEFA-C” coaching qualification from the Technical Sector during the same period.
Interested candidates must submit the following documents in PDF format to the Regional Federal Coordinator (Molise), Dr. Gianfranco Piano, at [email protected] by March 30, 2026: Application form, Declaration regarding disqualification (Daspo), Declaration regarding disciplinary proceedings, and Data protection information form. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
The course is limited to the first 40 applicants who submit complete applications by the deadline. A minimum of 20 participants is required for the course to proceed.
Important Considerations
It’s important to note that this course does not confer a Federal Qualification from the Technical Sector. It does not provide credits or points towards admission to UEFA-C or Regional Amateur Coach training courses offered by the Technical Sector. The course is designed as an informational and developmental opportunity for grassroots coaches, rather than a formal certification program.
The schedule and timings of the course sessions will be determined by the Regional Federal Coordinator’s Office of the Youth and School Sector and communicated to participants through official announcements from the relevant Provincial Delegation.
