Lavoûte-sur-Loire, France – The Ecoplume de l’Emblavez badminton tournament began Saturday with the doubles mixed competition at the Lavoûte-sur-Loire gymnasium. The tournament, which saw 60 teams compete across five courts, was fully booked by the end of December, demonstrating the event’s growing popularity within the French badminton community.
The tournament continues Sunday with the highly anticipated doubles men and women’s competitions. This year’s event also features the participation of François Nalborczyk, a decorated parabadminton athlete who recently earned a new medal at the French Para Badminton Championships. Nalborczyk, who joined the Badminton Club Emblavez a year ago after relocating from Thonon-les-Bains, partnered with Auroure Treille in Saturday’s mixed doubles play.

Mixed Doubles Champions: Jonathan Laurencot (Le Badminton Yssingelais) and Laura Valette (Badminton Club Langonais) secured the top spot in Series 1.
Mixed Doubles Finalists: Samuel Bernard (Badminton Club Brives-Charensac Velay) and Cathia Jeune (Badminton Club Brives-Charensac Velay) finished as runners-up.
