Bundesliga Market Values Surge: Leipzig’s Yan Diomande Leads the Way
Leipzig winger Yan Diomande is experiencing a meteoric rise in value, spearheading a significant update to Bundesliga player market valuations released today by Transfermarkt. The 19-year-old’s market value has exploded, marking him as the biggest gainer in the league.
Diomande’s value has jumped a substantial €30 million, from €45 million to €75 million – a nearly 67 percent increase. No other player in the Bundesliga has seen such a significant rise in valuation since the last market update. The Ivorian winger joined RB Leipzig in July 2025, and has quickly develop into a key figure for the club.
The rapid ascent reflects Diomande’s strong development within the Bundesliga. He arrived at Leipzig last summer for a reported €20 million from CD Leganés and has since established himself as one of the league’s breakout stars. With 10 goals and 6 assists in 25 league appearances this season, Diomande has attracted interest from several top clubs, including Bayern Munich. Leipzig has publicly stated its intention to retain the national team player beyond the summer, with some reports suggesting a future transfer fee could exceed €100 million, potentially making him the club’s record sale.
Other Rising Stars
Diomande wasn’t the only young talent to see their market value increase. Luka Vuskovic, on loan from Tottenham at Hamburg SV, has also experienced a significant boost, rising from €40 million to €60 million. Bayer Leverkusen’s Christian Kofane and Ibrahim Maza also saw their values climb, increasing by €18 million and €15 million respectively, to reach €40 million each. Vuskovic’s defensive importance and goal-scoring ability for the promoted side have contributed to his increased valuation, although Kofane and Maza continue to impress for league leaders Leverkusen.

Notable Declines in Value
The market value updates weren’t all positive. Karim Adeyemi of Borussia Dortmund experienced a decrease, falling from €60 million to €50 million. Jamal Musiala, the Bayern Munich midfielder, also saw a €10 million drop, now valued at €120 million. Musiala’s recent return from a fibula fracture in January may be a contributing factor to this decline. Alphonso Davies, another Bayern player, also saw a decrease of €5 million, moving from €50 million to €45 million. Werder Bremen’s Victor Boniface experienced the most significant percentage drop, falling from €12 million to just €5 million, largely due to a cartilage injury sustained in December that has kept him sidelined.

These market value adjustments provide a snapshot of player performance and potential within the Bundesliga. The league continues to be a hotbed for young talent, and the valuations reflect the increasing competition for top players.
Next up for Leipzig is a crucial match against Bayer Leverkusen on April 5th, a fixture that could significantly impact the Bundesliga title race. All eyes will be on Diomande to see if he can continue his impressive form.
