An outstanding performance by the two young players after some mixed months leading up to this tournament.”

Simon Krax and Jonathan Dresp also impressed, reaching the semi-finals before falling to Harper and Wakefield in a closely contested three-game match, 18-21, 21-14, and 21-23. Danial Iman Marzuan and Aaron Sonnenschein competed in the quarter-finals, but were defeated by the English duo with scores of 18-21 and 14-21.

Mixed Doubles Action

German players also made their mark in the mixed doubles event. Patrick and Franziska Volkmann advanced to the quarter-finals, where they were ultimately defeated by the Danish pair of Jeppe Søby and Sofie Røjkjær in straight sets.
