Las Torres de Cotillas’ Bádminton Las Torres club delivered a commanding performance at the recent territorial badminton masters tournament, organized by the Federación de Bádminton de la Región de Murcia (FEBAMUR). The tournament, held this past Saturday, February 28th, at the Pabellón Municipal Mireia Belmonte, saw nearly 150 athletes from clubs across Spain compete in a total of 246 matches across the under-11, under-15, under-19 and senior categories. The event benefited from the collaboration of the local Concejalía de Deportes and the Bádminton Las Torres club itself.
The club’s success was undeniable, securing a total of six gold medals, ten silver medals, and nine bronze medals. “The results were impressive, with six titles, ten second-place finishes, and nine third-place finishes, demonstrating the high level of the club’s members. Congratulations to them and their coaches,” stated local councilor Sergio Jornet.
The Pabellón Municipal Mireia Belmonte, named after Spanish Olympic swimmer Mireia Belmonte García, has become a hub for regional sporting events. Antonio Brao completed the silver haul with a second-place finish in the +50 men’s individual.
Bronze Medalists

This tournament builds on the success of previous events held at the Mireia Belmonte pavilion, including the Open FEBAMUR Interescuelas Región de Murcia in November 2025, which saw 42 young athletes compete.
