According to Anthony Slater of ESPN, the Golden State Warriors could also offer Draymond Green in the ‘package’ to be delivered to the Milwaukee Bucks for Giannis Antetokounmpo.
“The feeling around the team is that Steph Curry is the only one who cannot be sold in the race for Antetokounmpo. The Front Office is committed to improving the roster to better manage the last part of Curry’s career.
Green, who like Curry has only defended the Warriors’ colors since entering the NBA, said he was calm immediately after the game against the Pistons.
“I’ve been here 14 years….I have no reason to worry about leaving. Even if I get traded, in the end it’s all part of the game. However, I won’t lose sleep over it. I slept great last night.”
The 4-time NBA champion has a Player Option worth approximately $27.6 million for next season.
To date, a white smoke for Antetokounmpo’s move to the Warriors appears difficult, given that in the summer the Bucks will be able to count on several suitors with more assets than those currently available on the market.
In all likelihood, unless the player takes a strong stance and a consequent super offer from Golden State, The Greek Freak will have to wait a few months to find out his next destination.
