Caracas, 02 Feb. AVN.- The Venezuelan Basketball Federation (FVB) established its schedule of activities for the year 2026, which includes commitments in training categories, professional leagues and the qualifying path of the senior team towards the FIBA World Cup 2027.

The action will formally begin this Monday, February 2 with the local phase of the Junior Super League and the U21 Development League on the 8th.

The first major international challenge for the senior men’s national team will take place on February 27 in Brazil, in the World Cup qualifying window, followed by a match against Chile on March 2.

At the local level, March will mark the start of the Professional Basketball Super League (SPB) on the 7th, while the Women’s Professional Super League will begin its activity on the 8th.

The second quarter of the year will be focused on youth development and multidisciplinary events. In April the National Under-15 Championships and participation in the South American Youth Games in 3×3 mode will be held.

June stands out as one of the months with the greatest competitive load, including the AmeriCup U18 in both branches, the National Sports Games and the start of the FIBA U17 World Cup, scheduled for June 27.

During the second semester, the senior team will return to the home field in July to face Brazil and Chile again on the 2nd and 5th, respectively. The agenda also includes the 3×3 Central American and Caribbean Games, the Women’s South American Games in August and the South American Games in September.

The year will close with the South American U-15 competitions, the start of the Bolivarian Youth Games in November and the fifth qualifying window for the 2027 World Cup at the end of that month, concluding the annual activity with the AmeriCup 3×3 in December.FIN/AVN/ GG/ am/ am/
