Marbella will once again have a prominent presence in the match between Unicaja Baloncesto and Morabanc Andorra this Saturday, February 7, at 7:00 p.m. at the Martín Carpena Sports Palace in Málaga, within the framework of the ‘Our province plays’ campaign, which has reached six years since its launch. The City Council joins this initiative promoted by Unicaja Baloncesto by providing free tickets to local clubs, such as Marbella Basket and Club Baloncesto San Pedro, as well as to the Marbella Juega association, which carries out important work in favor of inclusion through adapted sports.
The councilor for the sector, Lisandro Vieytes, highlighted that “this action reinforces our commitment to grassroots sports and social integration, while we promote the feeling of belonging of local clubs and associations to a top-level sports project such as Unicaja.” In this sense, he stressed that “Marbella is once again present in a proposal that unites the entire province around basketball and that gives visibility to our municipalities in a scenario of maximum projection.”
The councilor explained that “in addition to enjoying from the stands, the members of Marbella Juega will live a unique experience by playing a six-on-six match on the center court, between the third and fourth periods of the official match, surrounded by the atmosphere of the pavilion and the support of the attending public.” He specified that “during the sporting event, the town will have a wide presence”, with actions such as the broadcast of the message ‘Match dedicated to Marbella’ on all the Martín Carpena LED supports, the broadcast of a promotional video of the city during half-time, the incorporation of the municipal logo in the match creatives and various mentions of the speaker throughout the match.
Vieytes has pointed out that “this collaboration continues to position our city as a reference in the promotion of values and in the projection of the Marbella Brand at a provincial and regional level”, while also valuing “the opportunity that it represents for young athletes and associations to experience such a special day in a reference pavilion”. Likewise, he recalled that the initiative is part of the ‘Our province plays’ campaign, with which Unicaja Baloncesto and the participating municipalities seek to strengthen the relationship between the club and the territory, make match days more attractive and offer fans a more complete sporting and social experience.
