WITH THE GUILLERMO GARCÍA PEZZI PAVILION AS A STAGE
As a culmination, the trophy presentation will take place next Tuesday, February 10, at 7:00 p.m., in the magnificent assembly hall of the UNED Melilla University Center, an incomparable setting to close a new party of the 3×3 modality, in particular, and of Melilla basketball, in general.
A magnificent day of grassroots basketball in the 3×3 modality that took place last Sunday at the Guillermo García Pezzi Pavilion, concluding in the afternoon with the different finals of all categories with a large number of people in the stands. This III UNED Melilla 3×3 Tournament was organized by the UNED Melilla University Center, the Department of Education, Youth and Sports of the CAM and the Melilla Basketball Federation (FMB), also counting on the collaboration of the Super Sport brand. A total of 110 registered teams and 450 participants took part in this event, which was again successful.
Regarding sports results, it is worth noting that in the Pre-pequebasket category the champion was La Salle CYDS and second place went to Los Gamers Enrique Soler. In Mixed Pequebasket, the first position was awarded to Los Mini Enrique Soler, with La Salle Amarillo being second. In Women’s Minibasket, RCMM Rojo finished first, with La Salle Amarillo as runner-up. In this same category but in men, RCMM Los Kolgaos was the champion and second position went to RCMM Blanco. In Pre-Kindergarten Women, La Salle Azul won the title and second place went to La Salle Amarillo. In Men’s Pre-Kindergarten, Enrique Soler Azul was first and second place went to RCMM Rojo. Already in Women’s Children’s, La Salle Azul was the winner while the second position corresponded to Salleco. Regarding the men’s category, the title went to La Salle while the second position corresponded to Basketball Addicts Enrique Soler. In Women’s Cadet, the champions were the girls from La Salle Azul and second place went to La Salle Amarillo. La Salle Amarillo also won in the Men’s Cadet, being the runner-up for Salleco Azul. In the Junior-Senior Women’s category, La Salle Diesel won the title of champions, with second place going to La Salle Empanadillas, while in the men’s category, first place went to RCMM Rojo and second to La Salle.
Finally, in the Senior Men’s category, the D Enrique Soler Team won and second place went to UNED Melilla. The tournament also had entertainment in the stands and an exhibition by the Melilla Basketball Club’s wheelchair basketball youth team. Without a doubt, a great day for these kids and their families.
