Football Updates: Mixed Results in Preparation Matches
The TV Nellingen football teams have been engaged in pre-season friendlies with varying degrees of success. The first team suffered a narrow 1-2 defeat against TSV Weilheim, despite taking the lead through a header from Felix Gentner in the 29th minute. The equalizer came quickly, in the 32nd minute, with Weilheim securing the win ten minutes from time.
The second team fared better, defeating TSV Rohr II 5-3 in a match that saw significant rotation of the squad. Jannick Schneider scored twice early on (7th and 17th minutes), with a further goal from Schneider (50th minute) extending the lead. Despite a concession of a penalty (75th minute), goals from Deniz Alili and David Weldesuss (87th and 88th minutes) sealed the victory.
However, the first team faced a tougher test against TuS Metzingen I, losing 3-4. A slow start saw Metzingen build a four-goal lead by halftime (15th, 26th, 37th, and 43rd minutes). Four substitutions at the break revitalized TV Nellingen, with Metin Turgut (66th minute), Tobias Bühler (74th minute), and Marcel Lauxmann (79th minute) finding the net.
