PEC Zwolle has acquired its desired left central defender. Tijs Velthuis comes over from Sparta Rotterdam. The 24-year-old player is on loan until the end of this season. PEC Zwolle can then permanently take over Velthuis.
Velthuis has already played 28 matches for Sparta Rotterdam and has also played for NAC Breda, AZ and Jong AZ in the past. Velthuis also played in Italy.
Gerry Hamstra about the new acquisition: “At 1.90, Tijs is a large and strong defender in whom we see a lot of potential. We are happy that we have filled the desired vacancy for our last line with Tijs.”
