Tele Ovest Presentation – Sunday Event

Partinico is preparing to welcome one of the most interesting sporting innovations of the moment: pickleball, a discipline born in the United States and now rapidly expanding in Europe and Italy. The official presentation will be held tomorrow, Sunday, starting from 10 am, at the Partinico tensile balloon, with an event open to the public.

Pickleball is a racket sport that combines elements of tennis, padel and badminton. It is played on a smaller court than a tennis court, with a lower net, a perforated ball and compact rackets. It is a dynamic, fun and accessible discipline, suitable for all ages and capable of involving both those approaching racket sports for the first time and more experienced athletes.

During the morning, the basic rules, differences and affinities with tennis and padel will be illustrated, and it will be possible to attend practical demonstrations to better understand this sport which is conquering thousands of fans all over the world.

Sunday’s event is part of a calendar of meetings divided into four stages, two of which will take place in Partinico, which confirms itself as a pioneer city for the project and the traveling tournament which will also touch Palermo and Marsala.

An important opportunity for the territory, which is at the center of the spread of pickleball in Sicily, promoting sport, aggregation and new opportunities for sports practice.

The invitation is addressed to all citizens, athletes and the curious: on Sunday morning at the Partinico tensostatic ball it will be possible to discover live what pickleball is and why it is becoming one of the most interesting sporting phenomena of recent years.
