When is the Super Bowl kickoff time?
The Super Bowl LX, the 60th edition, will take place on Sunday, February 8, 2026 at 3:30 p.m. local time. Since the largest individual sporting event in the world takes place in California, the… Kickoff at 12:30 a.m. German time, i.e. on Monday night. If you want to stick with it, you have to hold out for a long time: a Super Bowl takes around four hours to decide.
Where is the Super Bowl taking place?
This is the venue Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, almost 70 kilometers southeast of San Francisco. The stadium, which has a capacity of 75,000 spectators, is otherwise the home stadium of the NFL club San Francisco 49ers. Ten years ago, at the 50th Super Bowl in 2016, the stadium hosted the NFL finals.
Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara is also called the “Field of Jeans” in a joking reference to the baseball film “Field of Dreams”.
Where is the Super Bowl on free TV and stream?
RTL will broadcast the duel on free TV and in its paid streaming service RTL+. DAZN is also showing the game. An extra Super Bowl pass is required for the stream.
Who are the finalists?
Die New England Patriots meet the Seattle Seahawks. It is the 12th Super Bowl for the Patriots. Seattle is in the NFL grand final for the fourth time. With its seventh success, New England could become the sole record winner in the Super Bowl. The Seahawks have won the title once (2014).
Which players should you watch out for?
Of course, the eyes go to the playmakers Quarterbacks. The young Drake Maye (23 years old) is pulling the strings for the New England Patriots. He is in his third season in the Super Bowl for the first time and could be the first Patriots quarterback other than superstar Tom Brady (six titles) to win the title.
The Seattle Seahawks rely on Sam Darnold. The 28-year-old started 2018 as a great talent, but then had to take a detour across four teams before he is now facing a big breakthrough in his fifth stop in his first season with the Seahawks.
Who will perform in the halftime show?
Of course there is the big one again “Halftime Show“. This time the artist will “Bad Bunny” from Puerto Rico will heat up the millions of fans around the world. The singer was the most streamed artist on “Spotify” last year. It is quite possible that further surprise guests will enrich the almost 15-minute pompous half-time show.
The band Green Day will perform at the opening ceremony. The national anthem before kick-off will be sung by US singer Charlie Puth.

How much do the tickets cost?
Regular tickets fetch several thousand dollars. Even a parking space at the stadium costs $700.
As always, particularly expensive: a commercial. According to consistent media reports, the US broadcaster NBC charges eight million dollars (approx. 6.7 million euros) for 30 seconds of advertising. Of course, all advertising slots are still fully booked.
What history do the teams have?
The NFL’s special schedule means that the Patriots and the Seahawks rarely meet. This has happened three times in the last ten years. Seattle won all of these duels.
They have also met once in the Super Bowl. In 2015, New England won 28-24. Seattle threw away their great chance of victory on the last play with a wrong passing decision. For older Seahawks fans, it’s a “Revenge Game“.

Who is the favorite?
Both teams have their strengths, especially in defense. That’s also up to the trainers. Mike Vrabel (Patriots) played under New England coaching legend Bill Belichick in the Defensiv Linewon the Super Bowl three times during that time. In his first season he is directly in the final.
Mike Macodnald is something of a guy with the Seattle Seahawks Shooting star the NFL. For the 38-year-old tactical innovator, Seattle is the first stop as head coach and he led his team to the Super Bowl in just his second year.
The Seahawks are slightly favored by the bookmakers – but another victory for the Patriots wouldn’t be a big surprise.

What other bragging knowledge can I need?
• For the Patriots, the Super Bowl is a great opportunity to end the legendary dynasty of quarterback Tom Brady and coach Bill Belichick, who won all six of the Patriots’ previous titles between 2002 and 2019.
• The trophy for the Super Bowl winner is called “Vince Lombardi Trophy” and is named after a legendary coach Green Bay Packers named. The 55 cm tall, 3.5 kg sterling silver trophy is worth approximately $30,000 and is made new every year.
• The Super Bowl is watched live by around 200 million people worldwide, making it the most watched single sporting event in the world.
