Strasbourg Stadium: France’s Largest Refreshment Bar

“I’ve been coming to the stadium for years, but it’s certain that since they set up the new refreshment bar, I want to go there even more. » Subscriber to the west stand, Patrick is a happy fan. On February 23, 2025, the Racing Club of Strasbourg inaugurated the 90 + 4, a 50 meter long refreshment bar, the largest in France, in homage to the free kick scored at that same minute by Dimitri Liénard (who was present at the inauguration) on May 12, 2018. A landmark goal in the history of the club since it saved the Strasbourg side from a descent to Ligue 2.

Installed under the west stand where the kop is located, this refreshment bar has changed the supporters’ match days. “I started coming to the stadium after Covid but it’s really been three years now that I’ve been fully following the club. Before, I came with friends because we had a good time, whereas now, I come because I like the team and because the bar is cool (laughs)” confides Emma.

The inauguration of this new refreshment bar is part of major renovation and expansion projects at the Meinau stadium such as the Fan Zone set up around the stadium and which will accommodate 5,000 supporters with a stage equipped with a giant screen.

“It pleases everyone”

Since its inauguration, 90 + 4 has served all kinds of drinks. For Emma who does not drink alcohol, this is important information. “I never wanted to drink alcohol. So before, when I came to the stadium, I either didn’t drink anything or I had an overpriced soda. Now it’s definitely better because I can share a non-alcoholic beer with my friends. It’s more festive and at least it makes everyone happy. »

Opinion shared by Thomas, who is not a subscriber but who lives in Strasbourg and who regularly goes to Meinau. “The refreshment bar is honestly super stylish. I’m not saying that because I love my club or anything, it’s just the truth. You have so many choices, you can even have a non-alcoholic beer. And with all the giant screens you don’t miss a second of the match, so you can go there during the match because at half-time it’s shielded. »

Strasbourg supporters will meet at 90+4.

“For all the people who subscribe like me, it’s great,” says Patrick. There is direct access from the KOP, so in less than two minutes I have my beer. It makes the stadium experience even more exceptional. »

“Everyone is happy”

The club from eastern France wants this refreshment bar to become a meeting place after the matches. For this, a DJ is present at each final whistle to “set the mood,” says Thomas. The last time I went to the stadium, we had just won 5-0 against Angers, it was crazy. Everyone was happy.”

In total, for each Ligue 1 match, on average 600 sausages, 530 fries and nearly 300 burgers are sold at 90 + 4. And at the end of each match, a player comes to meet the supporters at 90 + 4. Enough to leave with a head full of memories.
