QLos Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has been named the most valuable player of the season for the first time in the National Football League (NFL). The 37-year-old was honored as MVP three days before the Super Bowl. Stafford and the Rams failed in the play-offs against the Seattle Seahawks, who will meet the New England Patriots on Monday night (12:30 a.m./live RTL). Their quarterback, Drake Maye, came second in the voting.

With 4,707 yards of passing yards and 46 touchdowns, Stafford had the NFL’s best in both categories. His touchdowns to interceptions ratio was also better than any other quarterback in the league. Stafford had an eight-game stretch during the season with a total of 28 touchdown passes and no interceptions.
