Sport Values & Misconduct | RuvoLive.it

In a note, the Pallacanestro Ruvo di Puglia club takes a position on the episodes that occurred in Crifo Wines’ last home match against Dole Rimini.

«The club wishes to express its total disdain for the incidents that occurred during the last match against Rimini.

We are tired of attitudes and behaviors that are contrary to the values of sport that we try to convey every day with our work. Ours is a company made of passion, dedication and respect, values that were transmitted to us by President Fracchiolla, and for which we work every day.

We want to be clear: disputes between fans do not concern us. We are the injured party and will in no way tolerate the stadium becoming the scene of violence or intolerance. Evidently some have already forgotten the tragic events in Rieti.

We also remember that episodes of intemperance cost clubs significant sums: the latest episode resulted in a fine of €2,500, paid by a club that continues thanks to the sacrifices of its fans and sponsors.

We are working in synergy with the administration to make the guest sector of the arena compliant and safe, with structural and plant interventions. In recent days, and also this morning, we have met the competent authorities with whom we are collaborating to guarantee the continuation of the events in a climate of absolute safety.

The club is firm in its position of guarantee for all families and fans, and with this press release it intends to strongly reiterate that should further incidents occur, it will immediately and forever remove the culprits, prohibiting them from accessing the stadium. There will be no exceptions.

We reiterate that we do not want to end up depriving ourselves of our organized fans, but we will do everything possible to have an arena in which safety and passion for sport are the only protagonists. We will protect ourselves in the appropriate places for any fines and sanctions resulting from these episodes.

Please refer to the regulations of the sports facility, reported HERE which will be observed without any reservations.
