Schalke 04: Transfer Close to Completion

With keeper Kevin Müller (1. FC Heidenheim/Loan) and the prominent duo Dejan Ljubicic (Dinamo Zagreb) and Edin Dzeko (AC Florenz), FC Schalke 04 has already signed three new signings on the winter transfer market. If you believe the rumors, it’s far from over. On Deadline Day, the rumor mill surrounding Royal Blue is abuzz.

After the “WAZ” already reported that offensive player Adil Aouchiche, currently on loan from AFC Sunderland to FC Aberdeen, is about to move to FC Schalke 04, there are now other names circulating that S04 are said to have had in mind.

According to “Sky”, the Knappen are currently trying “under high pressure” to sign a new left-back. Specifically, Moussa N’Diaye from RSC Anderlecht is said to have come into focus in this context. The 23-year-old Senegalese has already played over 100 competitive games for Anderlecht and will also be part of the regular team in 2025/26.

FC Schalke 04 should take a multi-pronged approach

The negotiations are unlikely to be easy at all. Especially since N’Diaye is under contract with the Belgians until the end of June 2028. The club should also have the option to extend the contract by a further twelve months.

Nevertheless, a deal is said to have been successfully agreed upon. According to “WAZ”, only the medical check is still pending. However, the fact remains that time is running out.

Should N’Diaye move to FC Schalke, signing Ondrej Zmrzly from Slavia Prague should be off the table. Andreas Ernst from the “Funke Mediengruppe” previously reported on the interest with reference to sources from the Czech Republic.

The 26-year-old Czech double national player is mostly just a substitute in Prague and has only appeared in one league game since November 2025. Schalke’s chances should be good.

However, Ernst also emphasizes that N’Diaye is “at the top of the list” for the Gelsenkircheners.
