After leaving FC Augsburg, Sandro Wagner is back on the coaching market. The ex-striker has now brought a star advisor to his side.
Munich – Sandro Wagner (38) is putting his career in new hands – namely those who made Bayern’s Jamal Musiala a superstar and advertising icon (including Nike and REWE). The trainer is now being looked after by star consultant Christian Schmid. But not under his agency 11Wins, but under the Sideline brand. For Wagner, the 42-year-old added the initials SW to the company name, as can recently be seen on transfermarkt.de.
With Schmid, Wagner is hoping for a career kick after his quick exit as coach of FC Augsburg. After just three wins from twelve games it was over. The former assistant to national coach Julian Nagelsmann had achieved a points average of 0.93 at this point. Schmid, a trained business mediator, is considered a tough negotiator in the industry. His biggest coup to date was extending Musiala’s contract with FC Bayern around a year ago.
