Sampaio Corrêa Player Health Update: Convulsion & Recovery

Alexandre, a player for Sampaio Corrêa-RJ, who convulsed on the field, in a match against Flamengo, this Saturday, remains hospitalized at Quinta D’or hospital, in São Cristóvão.

The club informed via official note that he underwent a computed tomography and electrocardiogram and that “no cardiological or neurological injuries” were found.

On his social network, the player wrote a message: “Passing by to inform you that the biggest scare has passed and to thank you for the messages and prayers. There are many messages, I shouldn’t be able to respond to them all, but here’s my gratitude. I’m sure I’ll be back. Thank you all for the messages. The Flamengo fans are sending messages in droves. Thank you very much.”

He commented on the strong image: “God acts in ways that we sometimes don’t understand, but seeing this photo, I can fully understand his call with me. It’s another testimony, another miracle. Flamengo players and my teammates united in a single purpose.”

Alexandre will remain under observation, according to information from Sampaio Corrêa.
