On Sunday (1st), the SAF investor from Botafogo-PB began negotiations to hire coach Lisca as the team’s new commander. The conversation continued, and the coach showed interest in the proposal, in the guidelines of the sports project and authorized the progress of negotiations with his representatives.
The internal expectation is that the negotiation will have a quick outcome, with the possibility, even, of Lisca disembarking in João Pessoa in the next few hours, if there is consensus between the parties.
Botafogo-PB has been without a coach since the 4-1 defeat suffered by Campinense, in the Clássico Emoção. At the time, coach Bernardo Franco and football executive Rodrigo Pastana left their positions.
Lisca has several recent works in Brazilian football and was in talks with other clubs in recent weeks. Alvinegro da Estrela Vermelha has an appointment scheduled for Thursday (5), against Nacional de Patos, at José Cavalcanti, in Sertão da Paraíba, and is working to define the new technical command before the next round of the 2026 Paraibano Championship.
