OBITUARY

ANDERSON, Roy R. “Grandad” Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, was called home by his Lord and Savior after a long, blessed life on March 29, 2006. Roy was born on February 14, 1932 in Winthrop, AR to Clurie and Ella Mae Anderson and was one of five children. He married the love of his life, Ava Lorene Petty, on May 3, 1952 in Visalia, CA, and devoted the next 53 years to her happiness. Together they moved to Sonoma County in 1958 and raised their three children: Debbie Philpott, Karen Neely, and Russell Anderson. Roy was a caring and wise man who strove to live at peace with all who knew him. Roy was a welder by trade and a farmer at heart, an avid baseball fan and a badminton champion. Above all else, Roy enjoyed and cherished each moment with his family. He faithfully attended Cornerstone Christian Church of Santa Rosa. Roy is survived by his loving wife, his sister, Virginia Hawley, his brother Pat Anderson, 3 children, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at Solid Rock Assembly of God, 15 Bluebird Dr., Windsor, CA. Interment will follow at Oak Mound Cemetery in Healdsburg. Donations in Roy’s memory may be made to Cornerstone Christian Church, 450 Kawana Springs Road, Santa Rosa, CA 95404.
