Fougères and Ronan Montfort travel to the Caen reserve, Saturday February 21 (1 p.m.), for the 7e day of National 3. The opportunity for the young coach to take stock of his first season at the head of the team.
“I passed my baccalaureate in 2016 before continuing with studies in Staps, where I obtained a license which was focused on specializing in badminton, in order to supervise young people. But during this period, at the end of the 2010s, I wasn’t really interested in investing more than that in this activity.
So I went into business. It was when I returned to Erwin Kehlhoffner’s + 2Bad Academy, in Cesson-Sévigné, where I was working in my new field, that I was offered the opportunity to coach in clubs. That’s what I did, and it interested me.
“My journey is particular, but I don’t see myself leaving”
During the last summer, I received an offer from the management team of Badminton Club Pays Fougères (BCPF) to become a coach. After the problems encountered at the end of last season with the former technician, it wasn’t easy for the club to find someone. For me it was good because I have been licensed at BCPF for twenty years.
Currently, my tasks are varied, training, administrative work on the internet and networks, support for competitions, N3 player, coaching of R1 and on various individual championships. I also take care of the bad section of the Jean-Guéhenno high school, in Fougères. I like it, it’s going well, the groups are cool.

After six months, this new professional situation suits me well, the association and the players are satisfied with my work. I will continue next year, I will take federal training because I will need it. Until now, my journey has been unique, particular, but I don’t see myself leaving. I’m a jack of all trades, I adapt. Today, there are few people who start in one company and end up in the same one. »
