The Portuguese questions the management of the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund and could even go on strike this Monday.
Cristiano Ronaldo, Al-Nassr player, is expected to miss the Saudi club’s next game because he is dissatisfied with the management of the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund (PIF), according to information provided by the newspaper “A Bola”.
Al-Nassr’s next match takes place this Monday against neighbors Al-Riyadh, a match counting for the twentieth round of the Saudi League. The team is in third place in the championship, three points behind the leader, Al-Hilal.
Since June 2023, PIF holds 75% of the capital of the four main clubs in the Saudi League: Al-Hilal, Al-Nassr, Al-Ittihad and Al-Ahli.
According to the newspaper “A Bola”, Cristiano Ronaldo is dissatisfied with the management that the PIF (Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia) has made of the emblem that CR7 represents for three seasons, particularly in comparison with the way in which other clubs in the fund have been managed.
And this is where disinvestment comes in, something that Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly made to those responsible for the club, as a result of the fact that Jorge Jesus did not receive any of the requested reinforcements, with the only signing in this winter market being a player from Iraq. Furthermore, the two Portuguese with management powers at Al-Nassr had their powers frozen.
Despite some paralysis in the Al-Nassr market, the same did not happen with other emblems owned by the Saudi Fund, with Al-Hilal, rival of the club represented by Cristiano Ronaldo, being very active in this market with signings in Italy and France. Al-Hilal leads the Saudi League at the moment.
