Al-Qadisiyah Club’s first team coach, Rodgers, expressed his dissatisfaction with the result
His team’s match against its counterpart Al-Fateh, which brought them together at Prince Muhammad bin Fahd Stadium in Dammam, within the competitions of the 21st round of the Saudi Professional League “Roshan League” and ended in a positive draw (1 – 1), raising Al-Qadisiyah’s score to (44) points to occupy fourth place in the ranking table, while Al-Fateh’s score reached (24) points in tenth place. This came during the press conference after the match, and he said: “Our match with Al-Fateh was one of the least tactical matches since I supervised the team. It was more like a basketball match and not a football match in terms of the players’ incorrect positioning and the fact that we lost two important points.” He added: “The absence of Italian striker Retegui affected some offensive solutions,” while praising the substitute player Carvalho and what he provided.
For his part, Al-Fateh coach, the Portuguese Jose Gomez, confirmed that the match was very difficult against Al-Qadisiyah, which has strong elements and great depth in the bench. He said: “The team adhered to the instructions and succeeded in stopping Al-Qadisiyah, despite the lack of options compared to the opponent.” He added: “The pressure of the matches was great, as we played 7 matches in three weeks.”
