River Plate: Monumental Beer Sales – Price & Access

River will implement an unprecedented measure in recent Argentine football, such as the sale of beer with alcohol inside the Monumental Stadium.

It will be starting next Saturday, when it receives Tigre for the fourth date of Zone B of the Apertura Tournament, and it will be a pilot test with strong restrictions.

Beer will have a value of 7,000 pesos per half-liter can, with a maximum limit of two units per person. The purchase will only be through exclusive pre-sale through RiverID, enabled up to eight hours before the start of the match, and only for those over 18 years of age.

The club clarified that it is not a general sale. On the contrary, the initiative will be limited to sectors of the stalls and VIP spaces, excluding the popular stands, which will not have this benefit. In this way, fans located at the headers will not be able to purchase alcoholic beverages inside the stadium.

River explained that it requested authorization from the Government of the City of Buenos Aires to carry out this “extremely controlled” pilot experience, with full traceability and aligned with international standards.

The sale will be carried out only in authorized sectors, such as the 360 boxes, hospitality spaces and the so-called Quilmes Spaces located in San Martín, Belgrano, Centenario and Sívori, all with limited capacity and permanent access control.

Regarding the purchasing method, in the boxes only the administrator of the space will be able to purchase beer, according to the number of seats assigned, while in the hospitality sectors an additional sale will be allowed on site, always controlled through an application that verifies limits and age.

The beer purchased must be consumed exclusively within the corresponding sector and cannot be transferred to other areas of the stadium.

With this initiative, River will become the first Argentine club to sell alcoholic beverages again in an official match since the ban in force since 1998, within the framework of a comprehensive modernization plan that includes structural works, technological renovation and changes in the spectator experience.
