Absolutely forgettable trip for the Prato Women’s Basketball in Lerici. On the occasion of the 16th day of the championship of Serie Bthe team coached by Paolo Bertini immediately suffered from the pace imposed by their opponents and in the end had to surrender 75-54, thus encountering the second consecutive stoppage.
The Ligurians start sprinting and immediately move up to +9 at 11-2. The reaction from the Laniere struggled to arrive and in the 10th minute the scoreboard read 27-16. The music doesn’t change much in the second half, in which Us Gino Landini’s lead rises to +15 (49-34).
In the third period, Billi and her teammates finally woke up from their torpor, recording a run of 13-8 which allowed them to get closer to -10 in the 30th minute. The hopes of a comeback, however, die in the bud, given that the La Spezia team are good in the last half at managing and increasing the gap up to +21 in the 40th minute.
After this defeat, the Prato team returns to last position with 6 points together with Pontedera and Umbertide, while the fourth-to-last place is two points away and is occupied by Cmb Valdarno. The laniere’s next match is set for Saturday (two-ball at 9.15pm), when the duel with Bagalier Feba Civitanova Marche, fifth in the ranking with 18 points, will be staged on the parquet of the Toscanini gym.
