České Budějovice and Pilsen announced an interesting trade in forwards shortly before the transfer deadline. Adrián Holešinský is moving to the south of Bohemia. On the other hand, Adam Kubík is heading west. Both clubs announced this on their websites.

The 27-year-old Kubík has worked continuously at Motor since the beginning of the 2023/24 season. “I would especially like to thank Adam for the almost three years he spent at Motor. He was a positive element in the cabin and always worked honestly for the team,” reports Jiří Novotný, sports manager from České Budějovice.

In previous seasons, Kubík always exceeded the goal of thirty points, this year he has “only” 17 (7+10). Will the new environment help him? “Adam has already proven in the past that he is a quality hockey player with a goal instinct. We believe that he will quickly fit into our game system and help us in the upcoming battles,” Pilsen general manager Martin Straka wishes.

Holešinský, two years older, had already been working with the Indians for the fourth year. He played a total of 162 games for them with a balance of 92 points for 29 goals and 63 assists. Now he will try out TELH in a jersey other than Pilsen, but he will not play against Sparta on Sunday and will not be able to extend his 16 points (4+12) from the current season.

“Adrián is a slightly different type of player who could fit into our system, he skates great and is very strong on the puck. He can be unpleasant in duels at the goal post, he keeps the puck under pressure from the opponent and at the same time has an offensive instinct towards the goal. We believe that he will bring more energy and pressure to our offensive phase,” Jiří Novotný nods.
