Jakarta, tvOnenews.com – Persib Bandung still has time to recruit world-class players in the mid-season transfer market. One of them could be a friend of Federico Barba because he comes from Italy.
Persib Bandung’s transfer activity in the 2025–2026 Super League season is quite calm. So far, only two players have been officially recruited and another one has returned from loan.
Layvin Kurzawa is the first player introduced by Persib Bandung in this transfer market. The former Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) player is under contract for six months.
Then, the team nicknamed Maung Bandung officially introduced the U-23 Indonesian National Team player, Dion Markx. The player who was brought in from NEC Nijmegen in the Dutch League was contracted for 2.5 years.
Finally, the team made by Bojan Hodak brought back Dedi Kusnandar to strengthen the depth of the squad. He was sent home from Bhayangkara FC, who borrowed him at the start of this season.
Meanwhile, Persib released two players in the mid-season transfer market. They are Rezaldi Hehanussa and Hamra Hehanussa who are on loan to fellow Super League team, Persik Kediri.
As the mid-season transfer window closes on February 6 2026, Persib has the potential to recruit world-class players. One of them is a player who can accompany Federico Barba for the remainder of the season.
1. Giacomo Bonaventura
The former AC Milan and Atalanta player is currently free from the club after his contract with the Saudi Arabian club, Al Shabab, expires on June 1 2025. He could be recruited for the midfielder position.
Bonaventura can fill the attacking midfielder position which Persib currently lacks. Apart from that, the 36 year old player could be a friend of Federico Barba who was homesick.
2. Paco Alcacer

One of Persib’s shortcomings in this half of the season is the attack line. The Blue Prince does not yet have a striker who can be relied on to score goals in every match.
One of the world-class names that Persib could recruit is Alcacer. This former Barcelona player is on a free transfer after his contract ended at Sharjah FC.
