Paraguay achieved its first victory this Thursday in the Hexagonal Final of the South American Women’s Under 20 and is gaining strength to continue fighting for the goal of reaching one of the four places in the World Cup in Poland.
The female Albirroja beat its counterpart from Venezuela 2-0 and has three points, in the game held this Thursday at the Women’s Soccer High Performance Center (Carfem), in Ypané.
Paraguay took the lead thanks to a goal against the Vinotinto goalkeeper, Valeria Rebanales, after a free kick by Nayeli Torres that hit the post and the rebound hit the goalkeeper’s humanity to enter the goal, when the 45+5 minute was up.
Our girls’ second goal came thanks to Diana Benítez, in the 76th minute, through a penalty kick, taken at the request of the VAR.
