It has already been reported that Wolfa, Baiba Bendika, Sanita Buliņa and Annie Keita Sabule finished 17th in the 4×6 kilometer relay of the Olympic Games on Wednesday.
“I did my best and gave my last strength. I’m actually quite tired, it’s already the fifth start. Yesterday and the day before yesterday were conditional holidays, and I felt very drained, there was no energy at all. I’m very happy that I managed to recover and show a very high result,” said Wolff, who finished her stage in sixth place.
Wolff pointed out that, on the one hand, the many starts in the Olympic Games are more difficult than in the World Cup, but also that the days off between competitions are useful.
“Before that, I was in the junior cups. There were quite a few starts in addition to these. It is very grateful that there are holidays in between. Those two days give a lot – you can have time to rest and do some training,” said the athlete.
Wolff and Bendik will conclude their participation in the Olympic Games on Saturday with a competition with a common start.
“I think I will have enough time to rest. I will gather all my last strength. It will definitely be a competition that I will enjoy no matter how much energy I have. I will go to the start with pleasure,” she added.
The Milan and Cortina Olympic Games will end on February 22.
