Olympic Flame in Lecco: Today’s Schedule

The Olympic village will open at 5.30pm today (Sunday).

Lecco, the stage city of the journey of the Olympic Flame

LECCO – Everything is ready in the city to host the Olympic flame on the long journey which, which began in Olympia on 26 November 2025, will end in Milan on 6 February, the day of the opening ceremony of the 2026 Winter Olympics.
A journey of commitment, loyalty, inclusion and team spirit that sees Lecco in the foreground as a stage city with the torch that will arrive under the Matitone dal lake, in the 56th stage.

The program

From 5pm in Piazza Garibaldi the Olympic Villagewith speeches, stories and celebratory moments to accompany the arrival of the torch.
All 18.30, from the Caviate areathe first torchbearer will leave with the passage along Piazza Cermenati, Lungolario Isonzo, Largo Europa, Viale Constitution, Piazza Manzoni, Corso Martiri, Via Amendola, Largo Caleotto, Via XI Difesa, Corso Matteotti, Via Volta, Via Cavour.
In the end, at 7.30 pm the Olympic brazier will be lit in Piazza Garibaldi. In the meantime, an evocative and exciting video story will be projected on the façade of Palazzo delle Paure while the districts will be colored by Olympic-themed projections.

I tedophores

Twenty-two torchbearers will be involved in the Lecco route, each of which will cover their own section of 200 metres. Three those chosen by the Municipality, that is Marco Cariboniformer president of the historic Canottieri Lecco; Lisa Guerreroathlete of Oltretutto ’97, the most medalist in winter sports in the area and a shining example of talent and inclusion and Severino Aondio93 anni, “atleta simbolo” della Resegup.
