Oktagon Owner on STOPKA: My Take

BRATISLAVA – At the end of January, news of the tragic death of influencer Monika Jákliová hit Slovakia. After the accident, shocking information began to leak out to the public – about her, her fiancé, and also her ex-partner. And the co-owner of the MMA organization Oktagon, Pavol Neruda, decided to respond to them. He is said to have changed his mind about Gábor Boráros and does not want him back in the organization!

Shortly after Monika Jákliová died, shocking information surfaced. One of them was the alleged threats that Gábor Boráros had sent to his ex MMA wrestler in the past. Based on them, he was even supposed to get a court ban on approaching her. “I’m going home, you’ll cry, I guarantee you… You’ll get such a slap that you’ll… I’ll spit in your face, let you drown in it… I’ll kick your head in.” read some of the messages according to the court file.

This shocked many… Even the co-owner of the MMA organization Oktagon, in which Boráros starred in the past. He last fought in it in 2021. Subsequently, after three losses, he tried his luck in another organization, Fabriq MMA, but after the second fight with Kirill Medvedovsky, the police began to deal with him on suspicion of complicity in betting fraud.

At that time, the owners of the Octagon stated that Boráros would not be able to wrestle in the organization until the case was thoroughly investigated. Ondřej Novotný and Pavol Neruda had a close relationship with the MMA wrestler. However, the latest information after Jákliová’s death put an end to the years together, and Neruda definitely swept Boráros’ return to the Octagon off the table. When asked if he still has a chance to return, he answered clearly.

“Probably not at this moment. It’s already gone. I think Gábor has moved too far from the sport and the Octagon,” spoke for Sport.sk. And he openly admitted the reason. He was unpleasantly surprised by the information about the threats to Monika. “The things that were written there are so terrible that if it’s true – and apparently it’s true, because they come from the court file – then I changed my opinion of Gábor negatively. We were always in contact, but after this case I didn’t write to him anymore. I don’t care. As long as it’s the way it looks, we don’t have to see each other.” he added.
