He has long been the thought number one in the upcoming draft. Now the super talent Gavin McKenna suspected of assault – and may receive 20 years in prison.

For several years, Gavin McKenna has been the given draft pick in 2026. Recently, however, Ivar Stenberg has stepped forward as a serious alternative and they were both expected to fight all the way to the finish line. Now, however, the Canadian super talent may have ruined his chances.
After the outdoor game against Michigan State on Jan. 31, McKenna went out with friends to a student pub.
There, the 18-year-old allegedly broke the plaintiff’s jaw after a dispute. He is now suspected of aggravated assault, minor assault, disorderly conduct and harassment, Onward State reports.
According to TSN, it can also lead to 20 years in prison. Something that in practice would mean that his career is over before it has begun.
Gavin McKenna had a goal and two assists for Penn State in the outdoor game played earlier in the day. He also played JVM for Canada just over a month ago. In the NCAA, there have been 32 points in 24 games this season. Now it remains to be seen if there will be any more.
