During the NBA night, the Sacramento Kings, the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Chicago Bulls agreed on a 3-team trade. Here are the players involved.
KINGS ricevono: De’Andre Hunter
CAVALIERS ricevono: Dennis Schröder, Keon Ellis
BULLS receive: Dario Saric and two future second round picks
Chicago cuts Jevon Carter to make room for Saric, both whose contracts expire at the end of the year. What the Bulls were most interested in in this trade was receiving the two second-round draft picks.
Sacramento gets a reliable 3-and-D like Hunter under contract again next year at 25 million. The Kings then converted Dylan Cardwell from a two-way to a standard contract.
Cleveland expands the guard department with the arrival of Schröder and takes a young defensive wing like Keon Ellis, as well as saving a good 50 million in salaries and taxes for this season. The German will receive almost 15 million next year while he has only guaranteed 4 for the following year. Ellis, on the other hand, will aim for a rich renewal: if he wants to stay at the Cavs, from next week he will be able to sign a maximum three-year contract worth 52 million.
